King Fresh is a privately held company, owned and operated by The Wilson Family, celebrating 3 generations and over 80 years in agriculture. Established in 1992, the King Fresh staff includes a motivated and talented mix of produce people, with combined experience in growing, packing, sales, procurement, transportation, grower relations, food safety, and finance. Farming with Pride for 80 Years: King Fresh traces its roots to 1933, when a 17 year old Dee Wilson left Oklahoma in search of a better life for his family in California. After finding steady work, Dee was able to buy land in Shafter, California. Three generations later, Dee Wilson would remain proud of his family that retains his unwavering commitment to hard work and honesty. Today, the King Fresh brands are synonymous with quality, freshness, and taste. Though the bulk of our farming is still done in the San Joaquin Valley, King Fresh Produce has expanded to regions in Chile and Mexico that allow us to provide the best tasting table grapes "year-round." And to ensure that our fruit is handled with care from field to store, King Fresh Transportation, a full service company, delivers on that promise.
