Megan Guy

Co-Founder & Partner at King River Capital

Megan is Co-Founder and Partner at King River Capital and has over fifteen years’ experience at the intersection of finance, technology, and impact investing in the U.S. and Australia. She is on the board of Sentropy Technologies, OSARO, and Weav Music, and was previously a board observer at Lark Health, Renew Financial, Stem, and Click Energy.

Megan’s career has spanned both the public and private sectors. She previously held various leadership roles in conservation investing and corporate engagement at The Nature Conservancy (the world’s largest environmental non-profit) and at Angeleno Group, where she led venture and growth equity investments across sectors including energy finance, storage, distributed generation, and telematics. She began her career at Goldman Sachs, where she worked as an investment banker in New York and Sydney and subsequently co-founded and launched the firm’s global environmental markets and strategy group.

Megan served as a Recovery Act Fellow at the U.S. Department of Energy in 2009, and as an Advisory Council member at the Millennium Challenge Corporation from 2016-18. She has been active throughout her career with various organizations that aim to foster strong networks among women and has guest lectured in Stanford’s “New Frontiers and Opportunities in Sustainability” course.

She has an AB from Harvard, an MS from Stanford in Environment and Resources, and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business.
