Amelia Freeman

Amelia Freeman is a seasoned tax professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles within finance and tax management. Currently serving as the Director of Tax at King & Spalding since April 2024, Amelia previously held multiple senior positions at GreenSky® from September 2015 to March 2023, including SVP of Finance, VP of Tax and Equity, and Director of Tax. Amelia started as a Tax Manager at Teavana from November 2010 to September 2015, where contributions included aligning the company’s income tax accounting with US GAAP standards in preparation for an IPO. Earlier experience includes a tenure at Ernst & Young from September 2003 to November 2010, where roles spanned Tax Manager, Tax Senior, and Audit Senior. Amelia holds a Master’s degree in Accounting from Auburn University, earned between January 2000 and January 2003.
