Kate Hay

Kate Hay is an experienced litigator and partner specializing in Intellectual Property law and competition and consumer law, currently serving at King & Wood Mallesons since March 2022 and as a partner and head of Intellectual Property at Corrs Chambers Westgarth since June 2015. With a robust background that includes a principal role at Griffith Hack from April 2009 to June 2015, Kate has notable expertise in patent litigation, trade mark litigation, and regulatory matters, having worked on landmark cases in Australia. Prior professional experiences include roles as a senior associate at Minter Ellison and Freehills, and as a senior consultant at The Nous Group, where consultation focused on environmental policies. Kate holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) LLB from Monash University, earned between 1989 and 1995.
