J.T. Mauk

J.T. Mauk is the Managing Director at Kingfish Group. Prior to joining Kingfish Group, J.T. served as the Managing Director at Perseus, L.L.C. from September 2007 to April 2013. At Perseus, J.T. was responsible for identifying and executing middle market and emerging buyout and growth equity investments, and assumed various strategic roles with portfolio companies post-investment including serving as a member or observer on portfolio company boards of directors and leading various portfolio company initiatives including mergers and acquisitions, partnerships and debt and equity financings.

From July 2005 to August 2007, J.T. worked as an Associate in Consumer, Healthcare and Retail Investment Banking at J.P. Morgan Securities Inc., advising clients in the healthcare and consumer products sectors on buy side and sell side mergers and acquisitions and debt and equity financings.

J.T. began their career in September 2000 as an Associate in U.S. Banking (Healthcare) at Brown Brothers Harriman & Co., where they worked until August 2003.

In April 2013, J.T. became a Corporate Development Advisor & Financial Sponsor, a role they held until June 2017.

Mauk received their MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business and their BBA in finance from James Madison University - College of Business.

Their manager is Christian Dubiel, Founder & Partner. J.T. Mauk works with Johnny Acosta - CFO, Kevin Macdonald - Partner & Head of Direct Investments, and Leena Karia - Director & Head of India Operations .
