Mazen Darwazah

Appointed to the King’s Academy Board of Trustees in 2016, Mazen Darwazah is the executive vice chairman and president of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region for Hikma Pharmaceuticals. Mr. Darwazah is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Jordan and a member of His Majesty King Abdullah’s Economic Policy Council and the Board of Directors and Trustees of Birzeit University. He has previously served in the Senate of Jordan and as the president of the Jordanian Association of Manufacturers of Pharmaceuticals and Medical Appliances (JAPM). In addition, he served as vice chairman of the Capital Bank of Jordan and a trustee of the St. Louis College of Pharmacy. Mr. Darwazah holds a Bachelor’s degree in business administration from the Lebanese American University in Beirut and completed the Advanced Management Programme at INSEAD Business School. He is also a recipient of the Al-Hussein Medal for Distinguished Contributions of the first class.
