Talal Shair

Appointed to the King’s Academy Board of Trustees in 2014, Talal Shair has served as the chief executive officer of Dar Group for 30 years. Mr. Shair joined Dar in 1989 as a structural engineer and was appointed chairman of the board of directors in 2008.

Mr. Shair also serves as a board member for over seven educational institutions and organizations. In Lebanon, he is a member of the Board of Trustees of the American University of Beirut (AUB), the Advisory Council of the Business Administration School of AUB, International College and the Lebanese American University. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees of Balqa’ Applied University in Jordan, the Queen Rania Foundation and a founding member of the Young Presidents Organization in Cairo.
