Buster Houchins

Buster Houchins is a member of the Office of the CEO with Kingsley Gate Partners. He was most recently Vice Chairman of one of the largest retained executive search firms in the world. Buster brings an executive operating background to the search industry from General Electric, ADAC Laboratories, Acuson and Sopha Medical Systems. His experience lends credibility to the consultative advice he provides to boards of directors and chief executives of some of the most prominent healthcare corporations in the world.

Buster has placed members of boards of directors, CEOs, COOs, CMOs, CFOs and other senior management positions around the world. He is considered a thought leader on the topic of leadership. Buster’s clients have ranged from emerging organizations to Fortune 500 corporations in a variety of industries including technology, healthcare, and life sciences, his main area of concentration. His opinion is regularly sought out by national and industry journalists.

Buster earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Marshall University and a Master’s in Management from Webster University. He serves on the Board of Governors for the Packard Center for ALS Research at Johns Hopkins. A former combat officer in Vietnam he spent three years on active duty with the U.S. Army. Buster is a member of the Transformational Practice at Kingsley Gate Partners – a practice dedicated to placing leaders in corporations focused on transforming their businesses.
