Before that he had various roles at Deutsche Bank from 2002 to 2015 including Head of Multi-Asset Research, Research Advisor to the CEO and Head of Foreign Exchange Research. Bilal was consistently ranked #1 FX strategist by Euromoney and Institutional Investor.

Bilal started his over twenty-year career at J.P. Morgan.

Academically, Bilal was an Honorary Visiting Professor of Finance at Cass Business School. He studied Economics at St John’s College, Cambridge.
