David K Thomas

David is a principal for Alcedo Technology Fund and is one of the fund managers Founded in 2019.

David is a highly experienced investment banker and investment professional, bringing over 30 years of knowledge and experience gained from the Equity and Capital Markets arena in the provision of structured solutions and the structuring of client driven transactions. This structuring background involved providing investment strategies and structured transactions to achieve specific client driven objectives, and drew on his considerable knowledge of the global capital markets, accounting and taxation areas.

David formerly served as Managing Director, Head of the Debt and Equity Solutions Group of the Global Markets division within Deutsche Bank AG in London, where he managed and had responsibility for an international team providing banking, accounting, regulation, taxation and structuring solutions to corporate clients globally, and to the Bank directly in their management of internal portfolios.

David had specific responsibility to optimise portfolios and strategies with regard to taxation, financing costs and regulatory impacts, ensuring such were fully compliant with banking, government, accounting and tax regulations and laws.

David’s skills were regularly called upon to advise the Bank on corporate finance mandates and mergers and acquisitions to which the Bank was an advisor, providing them with solutions and OTC structures to overcome hurdles and technical challenges that resulted from such.

David is a principal for Alcedo Technology Fund and is one of the fund managers. Additionally, David is engaged as an advisor, director or non executive director on a number of the underlying investments to represent the funds interests.

David served 26 years with Deutsche Bank group, 9 of which with Bankers Trust - acquired by DB in 1999. Previous to this employment he worked at Arthur Anderson and the Clark Whitehill accounting groups.

David is a qualified Chartered Accountant and has an engineering degree.
