Mohammad Hassan Shariat

Mohammad Hassan Shariat is a Research Associate at Kingston Health Sciences Centre since 2023. Previously, as a Biomedical Engineer at Kardium Inc. from 2020 to 2022, Mohammad contributed significantly to the cardiac mapping team, developing the first atrial local activation time and conduction velocity vector map for the Globe mapping system and filing a patent for an adaptive filter that reduced electrogram noise during catheter ablation. Prior to this, Mohammad served as a Research Fellow at Kingston General Hospital from 2014 to 2020, where collaboration with electrophysiologists led to the development of signal processing algorithms for catheter ablation of heart rhythm disorders. Mohammad also worked as a Research Fellow at Queen's University from 2011 to 2014, where modeling and simulation of MIMO communication channels were undertaken. Educationally, Mohammad holds a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from both Queen's University (2011-2016) and Shiraz University (2001-2011).
