Nihara Perera

Nihara Perera is currently serving as Tipstaff to the President of the Industrial Relations Court at the Industrial Relations Commission of NSW since June 2024. Previously, Nihara worked as a paralegal at Kingston Reid and held multiple positions including Attorney At Law, Head of Tax, and Senior Associate at Sudath Perera Associates from October 2014 to June 2024. Early legal experience includes an apprenticeship at National Development Bank PLC, a legal internship at Julius & Creasy, and a legal assistant role at Paul Ratnayake Associates. Academically, Nihara holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Warwick, a Master of Laws (LLM) in International Business and Commercial Law from the University of West London, and has completed practical legal training at The College of Law Australia. Additional education includes training in Performing, Speech, and Drama, and secondary education from St. Bridget's Convent and Ladies' College.
