Dave Z.

Dave Z. has extensive experience in the field of information security and technology. Dave has held various leadership positions throughout their career.

Their most recent role was as the VP of IT Infrastructure and Security at Kinsale Insurance since July 2019.

Prior to that, they served as the Chief Information Security Officer, Federal Reserve Account at Perspecta from October 2018 to July 2019.

From 2015 to 2018, Dave worked at Impact Makers, where they held multiple roles including Principal Consultant, Information Security & Risk Management, and Lead Consultant, Governance, Risk and Compliance Practice. In these positions, they led a team and delivered various projects in the healthcare sector.

Before that, Dave worked at Genworth Financial from 2004 to 2015, where they held positions such as Chief Information Security Officer, Director of Network Operations and Engineering, Director of Network Security, Network Security Leader, and Network & Security Analyst. In these roles, they were responsible for managing the global information security program, network operations and engineering, network security, and network security initiatives.

Prior to joining Genworth Financial, Dave worked at GE Financial Assurance from 1999 to 2004, where they held roles such as Network Leader, Long Term Care and New Technology Innovations Engineer. Dave was responsible for managing network operations, architecture, and driving the adoption of new technologies within the business segments.

Dave started their career in the US Army as a Commissioned Officer, where they gained valuable leadership experience.

Dave Z. has a Master of Science degree in Information Systems from Virginia Commonwealth University. Dave also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management from Towson University. In addition, they have obtained several certifications, including: a Certified Associate in Health Information & Management Systems (CAHIMS) from HIMSS in February 2016, a Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) from ISACA in December 2015, a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) from Cisco in July 2011, a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)² in December 2007, and a Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute in February 2002.
