Geert Claeys

Geert Claeys has an extensive and diverse work experience in the field of technology and innovation. Currently, they are the Global Head of Product Software Engineering at KION Group, where they manage a global software development team for Automated Guided Vehicle systems and fleet logistics management systems. Prior to this, Geert held executive management roles in software development, IT services, and innovation at Axonite BV. Geert also served as the CIO at Fednot, where they were responsible for IT application development and infrastructure to support notary offices in their digital transformation.

Geert has a strong background in software development and innovation. Geert worked as the Senior Director of Software Development and Innovation at Materialise, where they led a global team of 150 software developers and launched a comprehensive transformation program. Geert also held various positions at Agfa HealthCare, including Global Director of Technology & Innovation and Global Director of Information Security & Privacy. During their tenure, Geert was responsible for strategic technology planning, security, privacy, and research programs.

Outside of their corporate roles, Geert has been involved in entrepreneurship and incubation. Geert co-founded DXIS, served as a Board Member and Co-Founder of BlueHealth Innovation Center, and co-founded IHE-Europe, where they were an executive board member.

Geert Claeys began their career as a software developer at Logica and later worked as a research fellow at the University of Louvain. Overall, Geert's work experience showcases their expertise in software development, innovation management, and digital transformation.

Geert Claeys has attended Vlerick Business School, where they studied Middle Management. Geert also attended KU Leuven, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Computer Science and a Master of Science degree in Electronics.
