Michael Carey is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in process improvement and logistics management. As the Global Process Excellence Leader at KION Group since April 2019, Michael manages and facilitates the development and implementation of global process improvement initiatives. Previously, Michael served as the Motor Carrier Manager at International Paper from January 2013 to April 2019, where responsibilities included sourcing transportation and maintaining active networks for over 100 North American facilities. In an earlier role as a Business Process Specialist, Michael managed supply chain process continuity and led a cross-functional team to identify inefficiencies, resulting in significant cost savings. Michael holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan-Dearborn and a Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management from Western Michigan University.
