Jacob Schmitt is an experienced educator and mechanical engineer with a diverse background in teaching and engineering roles. Currently serving as a 5th Grade Math and Science Teacher at KIPP Columbus since August 2020, Jacob Schmitt develops and delivers curriculum while fostering an inclusive learning environment that promotes academic and personal growth. Prior to this role, Jacob Schmitt worked as a Mechanical Engineer at Ultra-Met, where project management and efficiency optimization in production processes were key responsibilities. Additional experience includes an internship and co-op position at Trane, focusing on product data maintenance and prototype development. Jacob Schmitt holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Kentucky, completed in 2019.
