Lakin Marcum

Lakin Marcum is an experienced educator currently serving as a 7th Grade Social Studies Teacher at KIPP Columbus since November 2018, having also taught 6th Grade Social Studies and participated as an Inspire Fellow at the same institution. Previous experience includes working as a Substitute Teacher for the Dawson-Bryant Local School District from February 2017 to May 2018 and as a Floor Supervisor and Cashier at Kroger from May 2013 to April 2018. Lakin holds a Master of Education (MEd) in Education from Mount Vernon Nazarene University, obtained in May 2023, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in History, along with an Associate of Arts (AA) in Humanities, both from Ohio University, completed in December 2016. Education was also received at Dawson-Bryant High School.
