Jaleene Talton

Jaleene Talton has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. JALEENE is currently serving as the Director of Operations at KIPP Metro Atlanta Schools since May 2022. Prior to this, they worked at the YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta, where they held multiple roles including Regional Office Manager, Office Manager, and Administrative Coordinator from March 2019 to May 2022. Jaleene also founded and owned Capture It Write, a company that focused on branding, from February 2016 to November 2019. JALEENE has also worked at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta as a Program Director, Character & Leadership Director, and Teen Services Coordinator from April 2016 to March 2019. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Chess Coach at Atlanta Public Schools from January 2017 to May 2018. Jaleene also has experience at Sprint as a Business Billing Support Specialist from October 2008 to February 2016, and at Verizon as a Customer Service Representative and Installation & Repair Technician from July 1991 to March 2003. Additionally, they completed a career counselor internship with Georgia State University from August 2009 to May 2010.

Jaleene Talton began their education journey in 2004 at Georgia State University Perimeter College, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Professional Writing. JALEENE completed their studies at this institution in 2006. Subsequently, from 2006 to 2011, Jaleene attended Georgia State University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with a specific focus on the field of study. In 2016, Jaleene briefly enrolled at Clayton State University, earning a certificate in Event & Meeting Planning.
