Culture Support Grade Level Chair at KIPP Metro Atlanta

Khamel Carter is an experienced educator and operations manager with a background in teaching and partnership management. At KIPP Metro Atlanta Schools since July 2019, Khamel serves as the Culture Support Grade Level Chair, responsible for managing grade-level discipline and implementing the RESTORE program, aimed at helping students improve their character. As a Primary Mathematics Teacher, Khamel manages two classrooms with up to 30 students each, focusing on building relationships with scholars, families, and staff. Previously, at YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta, Khamel held the position of Partnerships Operations Manager, overseeing operations and compliance across Fulton County and Northeast Georgia and providing staff training. Khamel began a career in event coordination and audio-visual technology at F.D. Hall Music Center. Academic qualifications include a Master’s degree in Elementary Education from Relay Graduate School of Education and a Bachelor’s degree in Music Technology from Jackson State University.
