Lakeesha Ramdhanie

Chief Schools Officer at KIPP Metro Atlanta

Lakeesha Ramdhanie oversees the K-12 academic vision for all KIPP Metro Atlanta schools and supports the regional achievement directors. Prior to this role, she was the principal of KIPP STRIVE Primary School. She joined KIPP Metro Atlanta Schools in 2012 as the Founding Dean at KIPP STRIVE Primary School, KIPP Metro Atlanta’s first elementary school.

Lakeesha began her career in education as a founding kindergarten teacher at KIPP SPARK Academy in Newark, New Jersey, where she taught kindergarten for three years. She attended Spelman College where she earned a B.A.degree in Psychology in 2009. She also earned an M.A. degree in Organizational Leadership from Columbia University in 2015.

Lakeesha participated in KIPP School Leadership Programming (KSLP) as a member of the 2016-Miles Family Fellowship cohort and 2017-Successor Prep cohort. In addition, she was named Assistant Principal of the Year for the Atlanta Public School District. She attributes these successes to her commitment to education and her community.

When not serving our regional community in her role, Lakeesha loves traveling, shopping, trying new restaurants, and spending time with her family.
