Dr. Savina Woodyard

Dr. Savina Woodyard has a diverse and extensive work experience in the education sector. Dr. Savina currently serves as the Chief Equity and Strategy Officer at KIPP Public Schools Northern California, a position they have held since August 2021. Prior to this role, they worked as the Director of People Initiatives at the same organization from July 2019 to August 2021.

Before joining KIPP Public Schools, Dr. Woodyard held various leadership roles at different educational institutions. Dr. Savina served as a Principal at KIPP Public Schools from July 2017 to June 2019, and as an Assistant Principal from June 2013 to June 2017. Additionally, they worked as an Assistant School Leader at KIPP LA Schools from June 2011 to June 2013.

Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in Secondary Education and Teaching at Loyola Marymount University from 2005 to 2007. Dr. Woodyard then went on to earn their Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree in K-12 Leadership in Urban Education from the University of Southern California between 2008 and 2011. In addition to their academic achievements, they obtained a certification as a Professional Diversity Coach from the CoachDiversity Institute in November 2021.
