Rachel Liberty has had a diverse range of work experiences. Rachel started their career as a Pet Hotel Associate at PetSmart in 2015 and then worked as a Server at Larrys Ice Cream Parlor from January 2016 to July 2017. In the same period, they also volunteered as a research intern at Project Osprey Watch. From 2014 to 2017, Rachel served as a Guest Services Associate at Osher Lifelong Learning Institute.

In 2017, Rachel joined AmeriCorps as a Corps Fellow, and then continued in the same role from 2018 to 2019 at Great Oaks Legacy Charter High School. In this position, they managed a group of Urban Education Fellows, created lesson materials, and provided coaching and support to ensure student academic and management progress. Rachel also taught small group classes in ELA skills, Algebra Prep, and Geometry.
