Jahneva Bame, MEd, has extensive experience in special education, currently serving as the Head of the Special Education department and Department Chair at KIPP Philadelphia Schools since July 2019. In this role, Jahneva provides consultation across KIPP schools in Philadelphia, designing and implementing a regional progress monitoring system. Additionally, Jahneva works as a Lead Teacher with Liberty Teaching Fellows, mentoring fellow teachers to enhance instructional quality. Previous positions include cooperating teacher at Kutztown University, student teacher coach at Temple University, and curriculum consultant at Calvary Temple Christian Academy, among others, showcasing a strong commitment to improving educational outcomes for students with diverse learning needs. Jahneva holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Criminal Justice from Drexel University and a Master of Education in Special Education from Chestnut Hill College.
