Samantha Freeman is the Regional Director of Student Supports at KIPP Philadelphia Public Schools, where she drives special education and student support programming across secondary schools. Most recently, Samantha served as the Assistant Principal of Student Support at KIPP Philadelphia Elementary Academy, where she supported the development of robust programming to support all students and families. Prior to her leadership role at KPEA, Samantha taught for seven years in Philadelphia and Virginia, always centering her teaching around creating a joyful student experience and driving academic growth. Samantha attended the University of Hartford and received a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a master’s degree in education. She always knew she wanted to work with children and spent many undergraduate summers as a preschool special education assistant. When not working, Samantha loves to spend time with her husband and three wonderful children.
