Takeem Ragland

Takeem is a native of New Jersey and attended Delaware State University, where he graduated with his B.A. After graduating from Del State, he went into substitute teaching and sports coaching. In 2015, he graduated from Saint Joseph’s University with his M.A. Shortly after graduation, he moved to North Carolina and became a Teach for America educator. He taught at KIPP Gaston College Prep as an 8th grade ELA teacher.

Takeem later traveled overseas to teach in China for a few years. It was there that he began his experience as a teacher recruiter. Returning to America in 2021, he stayed in recruitment as a technical and corporate recruiter. Currently, he is the Director of Recruitment for KIPP Philadelphia elementary schools. He is excited to return to KIPP and be able to serve the community.
