Melissa McGonegle

Melissa McGonegle has extensive experience in the education sector. Melissa currently holds the position of Senior Director, Talent Strategy & Leadership Development at KIPP Foundation since August 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Talent & School Leadership Development at KIPP Foundation from July 2022 to July 2023.

Before joining KIPP Foundation, Melissa was the Chief Schools Officer at Carmen Schools of Science and Technology from July 2019 to June 2022. Melissa played a key role in overseeing the schools' operations and ensuring academic excellence.

Melissa was also the Founder and School Director at Stellar Collegiate Charter School from August 2015 to June 2019. During their tenure, they recruited and developed a strong founding team and implemented a vision for a school culture focused on rigor, structure, and joy.
