Sofia Lopez Aguirre has a diverse range of work experience. Sofia started their career as an Elementary School Teacher at KIPP SoCal Public Schools in 2019. Prior to that, they worked as a Sociology Research Methods TA at Franklin & Marshall College from January 2019 to June 2019. In this role, they provided support to students by clarifying course content, facilitating group review sessions, and managing survey data. Additionally, they served as the Events and Atmosphere Manager at Ben's Underground from August 2017 to December 2018, where they organized social events, managed event marketing, and handled various responsibilities related to facility maintenance and restaurant closing. Sofia also worked as a Cashier at Nate n' Al Delicatessen for a brief period in 2018, where they trained employees on customer service and balanced responsibilities such as facility maintenance and reconciling the register. Lastly, they worked as an English Language TA at Lycée Blanche de Castille from January 2018 to April 2018, where they collaborated with teachers to create a curriculum for high school students and conducted conversation-based lessons. Throughout their various roles, Sofia demonstrated their ability to adapt, multitask, and provide support to others.

Sofia Lopez Aguirre pursued their education beginning in 2015 at Franklin & Marshall College, where they studied Sociology and Anthropology. After completing their undergraduate studies in 2019, they continued their educational journey at Loyola Marymount University. From 2019 to 2021, Sofia obtained a Master of Education (MEd) degree in Urban Education: Language & Culture.
