Vanessa Betancourt

Vanessa Betancourt, ACSW, PPSC, is a dedicated school counselor at KIPP SoCal Public Schools since July 2022. Prior experience includes roles as a behavioral therapist at Behavior Frontiers and as an MSW intern with Torrance Unified School District. Vanessa also worked as a children mental health clinician at SHIELDS for Families, where responsibilities included conducting psychosocial assessments and formulating treatment plans. Previous experience as a special education instructional assistant in Lawndale Elementary School District involved educating children on the Autism Spectrum and setting individualized goals. Vanessa holds a Master of Social Work from California State University, Long Beach, where studies focused on social work and child development.
