Damien Sherwin has a diverse work experience in the field of E&I (Electrical and Instrumentation). Damien began their career as an E&I technician at DC Select Services in 2012, where they worked on HVAC and control systems, instrument wiring, and commissioning.
Damien then worked as an Electrician (leading hand) at LOGSYS POWER SERVICES PTY LTD from 2013 to 2015, where they gained leadership skills and experience in electrical installations and maintenance.
In 2015, Damien joined ECM as a QA E&I technician, performing various tasks such as VLF and megger testing, ladder rack installation, terminations, and wiring of instruments. Damien also gained experience in industrial conveyor belts and fire pump systems.
Damien later worked at LogiCamms as a Commissioning E&I technician, specializing in commissioning E&I systems.
From 2016 to 2018, Damien worked as an E&I Foreman/Supervisor at Downer, where they supervised substations, field terminations, and instrumentation in LNG Train 1 and Train 2.
Damien continued their supervisory roles at Downer from 2018 to 2019 and at ECM from 2019 to 2020, overseeing the installation and pre-commissioning of instrumentation in various processing plants.
In 2019, Damien joined Aerison Pty Ltd as an E&I Commissioning technician, responsible for the commissioning of switch rooms and circuits.
Most recently, they joined Kirby Group Engineering in 2020. Damien has held positions such as E&I Site Supervisor, E&I Site Manager, and E&I Construction Manager, with responsibilities ranging from pre-commissioning and commissioning of chemical processing plants to managing E&I construction activities.
Damien's work experience clearly demonstrates their expertise in E&I systems, installation, commissioning, and supervision.
Damien Sherwin completed their Leaving Certificate in Engineering and Technology at Malahide Community School from 2000 to 2006. Damien then obtained a Diploma in Electrical and Instrumentation from Tech Skills Australia. In addition to their formal education, Damien has obtained certifications such as Section 44 from AVELING in October 2019, Cert IV EEHA from Volt Edge Training in January 2015, and a Cert IV Electrical Instrumentation from CET in October 2014. Damien also holds various other certifications including Emergency Descent Escape, Perform pole top rescue, Resuscitation, Enter Confined Space, Work Safely at Heights, Work in Accordance with an Issued Permit, Electrical contractors Nominees, High Risk Work, Apply First Aid, A grade Licence, and Construction Induction.
