Janna Y'Barbo

Janna Y'Barbo, SPHR, CEBS has a strong background in human resources with over three decades of experience. Janna currently holds the position of Director - Benefits, Compensation and HRIS at Kirby, where they are responsible for overseeing the planning, design, communication, and administration of all U.S. benefit plans. Prior to this role, Janna served as the Director of Benefits at Kirby, where they led the overall management of benefit plans, retirement plans, and wellness programs. Before joining Kirby, they held various HR roles, including Human Resources Manager at the Houston Museum of Natural Science, NexTec Group, and Sun Coast Resources. Janna also served as an HR Manager at DXP Enterprises, Inc. from 1990 to 1997. Janna's extensive work experience reflects their expertise in benefits administration and HR management.

Janna Y'Barbo, SPHR, CEBS obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Supervision from the University of Houston. Janna then pursued a Masters of Science degree in Health Promotion Management from Nebraska Methodist College. In addition to their academic achievements, Janna holds a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR®) Certification from the HR Certification Institute (HRCI) and is also a Certified Employee Benefits Specialist from the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans (IFEBP), which they obtained in 2007 and 2018 respectively.
