Patrick Shamus O'Brien

Patrick Shamus O'Brien has extensive experience in claims management, currently serving as Senior Claims Manager at Kirby since February 2007, focusing on various insurance claims such as internal hull and commercial property. Previous roles include Claims Manager at Kirby and Assistant Claims Manager at Nausch, Hogan & Murray, Inc., where expertise encompassed marine and cargo claims. Patrick also served as a Lieutenant Commander in the US Navy Reserves from 1998 to 2012 and held positions as a Vessel Stow Planner and Field Operations Supervisor earlier in their career. In addition to professional claims work, Patrick has served as a Baseball and Football Official for the Texas Association of Sports Officials since 2017. Patrick holds a Bachelor of Marine Transportation from the United States Merchant Marine Academy.
