Karen Coleman

Karen Coleman is an experienced social work professional currently serving as a Social Work Service Manager at the Department of Human Services in Philadelphia since February 2017. Additionally, Coleman holds the position of Clinical Education Manager at Horizon House, Inc. and works as a Clinician at Kirkbride Center, both roles filled since October 2015 and March 2015, respectively. Coleman has also been involved as an Instructor in the Behavioral Health Program at 1199SEIU since September 2013. Previous leadership experience includes serving as the Director of Homelessness at Lutheran Settlement House from June 2012 to July 2014 and as Director at BPUM between December 2009 and April 2012. Academically, Coleman has pursued multiple advanced degrees, including a PhD in Organizational Leadership from Walden University and a Master of Science in Administration from Lincoln University, with additional doctoral studies in Organizational Leadership focusing on Social Services at Widener University-Delaware Campus.
