Michael Bull has been working in software development since 2008. In 2008, they had a work experience role as a Telecommunications Engineer at Openreach, where they gained an in-depth overview of the maintenance and provision of telecommunication services. In 2014, they worked as a Junior Software Developer at Indigo Mountain, where they integrated into the existing development team and assisted them on the lead up to their BarKode Application deployment phase. In 2015, they worked as a Software Developer at 1Spatial, where they worked on the "1Integrate for ArcGIS" product suite encompassing desktop, server, and mobile editions. In 2016, they were subcontracted by 1Spatial to participate in development of the Land Management System (LMS) from the Rural Payments Agency (RPA). Finally, in 2017, they were the first hire of Kirontech UK Ltd, working as a Senior Software Developer and Software Developer, primarily leading the UI development on their new product range focused on helping insurers reduce fraud, waste, and abuse within healthcare insurance claims.

Michael Bull attended Ken Stimpson Community School, Peterborough from 2005 to 2010, where they achieved a General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE). Michael then attended the same school from 2010 to 2012, where they achieved a General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level). From 2012 to 2015, Michael Bull attended De Montfort University, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science.
