Mark Cvrkel

Mark Cvrkel is the EVP and Chief Financial Officer at Kish Bank. Mark has over 25 years of experience in the banking industry, and has held senior positions at Susquehanna Bank, where they served as Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer, and oversaw direct investments, management reporting, profitability measurement, loan and deposit pricing, economic capital allocation, funding desk, financial systems, regulatory interface, regulatory comment letters, board of director presentations, executive level discussions, asset/liability management, financial planning, liquidity measurement, bank accounting, capital market products. Mark also successfully implemented a risk-based profitability measure approach to drive better pricing decisions.

At Susquehanna Bank, Mark led a $700MM plus balance-sheet restructuring project in December 2011, increasing Net Interest Margin by 25 bps. Mark also started customer foreign exchange hedging program, back-to-back derivative hedging programs for commercial customers, and pipeline hedging program for mortgage production. The derivative program generated $8.5 million in fee income program to date with 2013 projected income being $6 million and pipeline hedging program increased profit by 56 bps in 2012.

In addition, Mark restructured and re-graded positions within finance and accounting areas, enabling the bank to meet increased regulatory demands. Mark also developed incentive-based performance plan for Treasury-sales area for derivatives and FX products, resulting in unprecedented fee-generated volume.

Mark Cvrkel went to the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin-Madison for their Accounting /Controllership. Mark then went to the University of Pittsburgh for their Bachelor of Arts in Economics/Accounting. Finally, they got additional accounting credits from Saint Francis University.
