Dirk's experience includes a significant tenure as a Business Development Specialist at Deltares, where they specialized in forecasting and decision-support systems. They also held positions as a Senior Researcher at the University of Duisburg-Essen and a Research Engineer at RWTH Aachen University, contributing to advancements in water resource management and hydrological models. Dirk earned a Dr.-Ing. in Civil Engineering from RWTH Aachen University.
