Edgar Wetzel

Edgar Wetzel has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Edgar began their career in 1986 at Bureau Technique Wintgens S.A., where they worked as the Head of Software Development and Product Manager until 1995. Edgar then joined Wölfel Messsysteme · Software GmbH+Co.KG in 1995 and served as the Head of International Business and Senior Project Manager for 15 years. During this time, they were responsible for creating and managing an international distributor network and also worked as a Project Manager on various international projects related to noise mapping and calculation methods. In 2010, Wetzel joined KISTERS AG as a Business Development Manager for Resources Management Systems. Edgar later transitioned to the role of Business Development Manager for Air/Monitoring, where they were involved in the development of new activities and markets. Currently, Wetzel holds the position of Chief Innovation Officer - Monitoring Products at KISTERS AG, starting in January 2021.

Edgar Wetzel began their education journey in 1984 at Ecole Provinciale Supérieure d'Informatique, where they obtained a degree in Computer Sciences in 1986. Moving forward, they pursued further studies at IPEPS, where they earned a post-graduate degree as Conseiller en Environnement in 1998, specializing in Environmental Consulting. In 2000, Wetzel enrolled at Hautes Etudes Commerciales, completing a Master's degree in International Marketing and e-commerce by 2002. Edgar continued their educational pursuits at the University of Liège from 2002 to 2004, acquiring a DEA en Sciences de l'Environnement, focusing on environmental sciences and research training. Lastly, in 2009, Wetzel attended Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management, specializing in Management for a period of one year.
