Juan Martinez has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering, particularly in hardware design and development. Juan started their career at the Neuroscience Center of Cuba, where they worked on firmware programming and debugging for electroencephalographic monitoring systems. Juan also contributed to the hardware design of these systems and worked on equipment for audiometry.
Following this, Juan joined the Central Institute for Digital Research, where they focused on designing a portable digital electrocardiograph. Juan was responsible for designing bioelectric amplifiers, signals acquisition systems, CPU modules, matrix keyboards, graphic LCDs, and serial communications control boards. Juan gained expertise in programming microcontrollers, such as Intel 80186 and Microchip PIC16F84.
Later, Juan worked at Hardsoft Solutions, Inc. in the Research and Development department. Juan participated in various projects, including the development of an Android application for smart devices that allowed communication via Bluetooth with a plethysmographic monitor device for vascular health analysis. Juan also worked on designing a web service using REST protocol for data exchange.
Juan then joined Albercorp/VERTIV Co., formerly known as Emerson Network Power, as a Principle Engineer.
Currently, Juan is employed as a Sr. Hardware Design Engineer at Kitchen Brains, where they are involved in developing and supporting electronic controls for appliances used in commercial kitchens.
Throughout their career, Juan has demonstrated expertise in hardware design, firmware programming, and project management.
