Simon Rodrigue is currently an Advisor at KitchenMate. Simon was previously the SVP & Chief Digital Officer at STAPLES Canada from March 2018 to May 2021. In this role, they were responsible for leading all online activities at Sears Canada, including one of Canada's top websites - sears.ca - a $300 million dollar plus online business.
Simon managed an internal team of over 100 including User Experience, Online Merchandising, Interactive Marketing, Community, Analytics, IT and Development (in and outsourced models) teams, strategies and execution plans while helping Sears Canada further their multi-channel strategy. Simon rebuilt the business from the ground up launching a new platform (moved off Amazon to an in-house platform) in 8 months and put together one of the top digital teams in Canada. Simon positioned Sears.ca for the next phase of growth leveraging direct ship, social commerce and web design / development best practices.
Simon launched a direct ship program with the goal to support one million additional, new to sears, products through a direct ship program. Simon focused on category extensions and new categories developed to support a higher end demographic that was present on the website. The new site was recognized with a 2010 Navigator Award for excellence in site navigation and search.
Simon Rodrigue is a CFA Charter Holder and has a B.Comm in Finance from Carleton University. Simon also has a certification from the CFA Program in Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
