Charles Scott

Charles holds an MA in Jurisprudence from Oxford University and a Diploma in Agriculture from RAU Cirenceser. He started his career in investment banking with Wood Gundy in 1979, and joined Morgan Stanley in 1985, spending 22 years with the Firm, holding several senior management positions, including Head of Equity Sales in Europe, Director of European Research and Chief Operating Officer for Morgan Stanley’s Firmwide business in the UK. Since 2007, Charles has invested in and managed a number of agricultural projects in Tanzania, and is a Director of Polar Capital Funds Ltd and Vantage Investment Advisory Ltd. He is Chairman of Every1Mobile, which has created and manages a platform giving mass communication across multiple markets in Africa, for clients including social development programmes and corporates Charles was a founding Trustee of the Morgan Stanley International Foundation and was Chairman from 1995 to 2000. He is a member of the Investment Advisory Committee for Brasenose College Oxford and a Trustee of Muscular Dystrophy UK and Restart Africa.
