Rod Murphy

Rod Murphy has a diverse work experience in software engineering and leadership roles. Rod started their career as a Developer at Doolin Technologies, where they worked on the development, maintenance, and documentation of electronic product transaction server systems. Rod then moved on to Opera Telecom, where they served as a Software Engineer and was responsible for designing C++ and PHP components of the company's SMS messaging system. Rod also gained experience in remote launch, administration, and support of the platform in multiple countries.

Rod then took on the role of CTO at Zircol.com, where they designed and implemented a business social networking platform. Rod later joined Enovation Solutions as a Software Engineer, working with Drupal 6, Symfony PHP framework, and Doctrine ORM. Rod also gained experience in configuring the Sphinx search engine.

Rod further expanded their skill set by joining brando advertising agency as a Software Engineer, where they integrated various third-party web service APIs and added bespoke cache and search functionality to websites. Rod then joined Avvio.com as a Senior Software Engineer, contributing to the company's software development projects.

Most recently, Rod Murphy worked at Kitman Labs as the Engineering Lead, demonstrating their leadership abilities and technical expertise. Throughout their career, Rod has showcased their proficiency in various programming languages, web technologies, and software development methodologies.

Rod Murphy attended University College Dublin from 1997 to 2002, where they earned a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Electronic Engineering. Rod then pursued further education at Trinity College Dublin from 2003 to 2004, obtaining a Master of Science (MSc) degree in High Performance Computing. Finally, they returned to University College Dublin and completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Electronic Engineering from 1997 to 2012.
