Mark Gault

Mark Gault has extensive work experience in the banking industry. Mark currently holds the position of VP Strategic Planning at Kitsap Credit Union since March 2019. In this role, Mark is responsible for shaping strategic initiatives, analyzing their value, and providing oversight of all programs and projects aimed at achieving future growth.

Prior to their current role, Mark served as the Internal Audit Manager at Kitsap Credit Union from September 2017 to February 2019. During this time, they led the re-organization and delivery of a highly effective internal audit team. Mark also developed and implemented a career development program for senior and new internal audit team members.

Before joining Kitsap Credit Union, Mark worked as a Principal Consultant at MWGault Retail Bank Consulting from December 2016 to November 2017. Mark's earlier experience includes working at TCF Bank, where they served as the Executive Vice President from April 2009 to August 2016. During this time, they led the branch transformation and optimization initiatives, as well as managed the enterprise operations, training, and communication support teams for over 400 branches. Mark also held the position of Senior Vice President Retail Banking at TCF Bank from March 1998 to March 2009, where they exceeded sales and profitability goals for retail branches, implemented standardized fee waiver tools, and managed the implementation of Western Union in all branches.

Prior to their tenure at TCF Bank, Mark worked as a Senior Vice President Retail Banking at TCF Bank from March 1993 to March 1997, where they consistently exceeded production and profitability goals and led successful system conversions of acquired banks' core systems. Mark also served as an Internal Auditor/Retail Controller at TCF Bank from September 1989 to March 1993.

Mark's early career includes roles in internal auditing at the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department from March 1986 to March 1989, and as a General Manager at Packet House Restaurant from March 1984 to January 1986.

Mark Gault attended the University of Arkansas at Little Rock from 1978 to 1984, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. In November 2018, they obtained the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certification from The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc. Additionally, they have also obtained the Certified Public Accountant certification, although the specific month and year of this certification are not provided.
