Tenay Woodard

Director of Safety And Security at Kiva Confections

Tenay Woodard has a diverse work experience spanning multiple positions and companies. Tenay started their career at Prevention International: No Cervical Cancer (PINCC) as an Assistant Administrator, where they managed recruitment, training, and supervision of personnel and exceeded annual fundraising goals. Tenay then became a Business Administrator, working closely with the Development Director to maintain support and grow the donor database, and organized successful fundraisers.

Woodard then moved on to The Clorox Company, where they served as an Administrative Assistant III to the VP of Global Risk Management. In this role, they streamlined and managed the Risk insurance policy tracking system and was responsible for financial tracking for the Risk department. Tenay also played a key role in organizing community outreach and company events for the African American Employee Resource Group.

At The Clorox Company, Woodard also worked as an Interim Health and Safety Specialist, where they developed health and safety training for new hires and conducted investigations after incidents. Tenay also coordinated rehabilitation and work release for injured employees. Later, as a Health and Safety Specialist, they executed the company's Health and Safety program, led emergency response efforts, and managed ergonomic and wellness programs.

Most recently, Woodard joined Kiva Brands, Inc. as a Safety and Training Manager, where they built the foundation for the company's safety and security programs. Tenay developed and facilitated training to create a safe work environment, and led the company's Covid-19 pandemic response programs and policies. Tenay then progressed to become the Associate Director and eventually the Director of Safety and Security, overseeing all areas of physical and occupational risk, leading the workers' compensation program, and managing the company's overall risk portfolio.

Throughout their career, Woodard has demonstrated strong leadership skills, risk management expertise, and a commitment to creating safe work environments.

Tenay Woodard completed an Associate's Degree in Business/General Business from Merritt College from 2004 to 2008. Afterward, Tenay pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Management, General at San Francisco State University, which was achieved from 2008 to 2009. In terms of additional certifications, Tenay received the following qualifications: KIVA Employee of the Year in December 2020 from Kiva Brands, Inc., OSHA 30-hour General Industry Safety and Health in September 2020 from the OSHA Training Institute Education Center at Chabot-Las Positas Community College District, Safety Associate in September 2019 from the OSHA Training Institute Education Center at Chabot-Las Positas Community College District, Online CPR/AED and First Aid Combo Course in June 2022 from the American Red Cross, Trainer in Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED in November 2018 from the American Red Cross, California Notary in July 2016 from the Secretary of State, and 40 Hour Hazwoper in May 2018 from 360training. Tenay Woodard also has a pending Bowen EHS ASP/CSP Certification from Bowen EHS.
