Elif Kalkan

Elif Kalkan's work experience includes serving as a Director at KLASCHOOLS, with a start date in July 2016 and co-director from July to December 2016. Elif also worked as a Director at Maya Cocuk Bilingual Preschool from July 2015 to June 2016. In addition, Elif had the role of Head Teacher at Kids International Preschool from August 2014 to June 2015. Before that, they were a Lead Preschool Teacher at KLASCHOOLS from July 2013 to August 2014. Elif began their teaching career as a Preschool Teacher at Old Firehouse School from August 2011 to January 2013 and then at City of Berkeley from May 2010 to September 2011. Prior to their career in education, Elif worked as a Teacher at Eylül Language Center from January 2002 to November 2009. Elif also held positions as a Risk Management Expert at BOTAS BTC COPL Project Directorate from April 2003 to April 2005 and as an Internal Auditor at Tansas from January to August 2002, as well as at Ottoman Bank from December 2000 to December 2001.

Elif Kalkan obtained their Ph.D. in Early Childhood Education and Teaching from Hacettepe University, which they attended from 2008 to 2016. Prior to that, they earned their Master's degree in the same field from Hacettepe University, where they studied from 2005 to 2008. Elif completed their undergraduate studies at Hacettepe University as well, majoring in Business Administration from 1996 to 2000.

In 2016, Elif Kalkan also obtained a Child Development Program Director Permit from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. Additionally, they have acquired two certifications from LinkedIn, namely "Influencing Others" in February 2018 and "Thinking Like a Leader" in July 2017.

Currently, Elif Kalkan is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Anadolu University, an educational endeavor that began in 2019 and is expected to be completed in 2023.
