Grace Chen

Grace Chen is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in technical innovation and system design engineering. As a Fellow at KLA since July 2021 and previously serving as Sr. Director of Next Generation Instrument at BD Biosciences, Grace has led significant advancements in optical wafer inspection technology. Notably, in a tenure at KLA-Tencor from 2000 to 2020, Grace held the role of Senior Director of System Design Engineering, focusing on developing industry-leading laser-based wafer inspection systems. Prior experience includes roles at Numerical Technologies, Inc. as Manager of Simulation and Modeling, Innovative Imaging System Corporation as Research Scientist, and GRC International, Inc. as Scientist. Grace holds a Ph.D. in Physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a BS in Physics from San Francisco State University.
