Jimmy Vermeulen

Jimmy Vermeulen is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in engineering and management, currently serving as Senior Director of Engineering at KLA's ICOS Division since June 2008. In this role, Jimmy oversees the Wafer Level Packaging Business Unit and leads all engineering disciplines within the division. Prior experience includes positions as Engineering Director and Senior Manager of Product Engineering within the same division and as Senior Engineering Manager and R&D Manager for Component Inspector at ICOS Vision Systems from July 2005 to June 2010. Earlier in Jimmy's career, a post-doctoral research position at Vrije Universiteit Brussel involved work on non-linear damage detection methods in aviation and aerospace, funded by the European Union. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Robotics and a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Vrije Universiteit Brussel, along with a Management degree obtained in 2006.
