Shankar Krishnan

Shankar Krishnan, Ph.D, is a seasoned professional with extensive expertise in technology innovation and development. Currently serving as a Fellow and Vice President at KLA since January 2001, Shankar drives new technology initiatives and mentors product development teams, while also exploring adjacent markets. Previously held positions include Senior Director and Distinguished Member of Technical Staff, focused on Technology Development and Innovation, and Senior Director of Engineering, where Shankar was the chief technologist for measurement systems. As Director of Engineering, Shankar successfully integrated over 50 technical personnel into teams that developed leading market products in Metrology Solutions. Earlier experience includes co-founding Containerless Research, Inc., and serving as Principal Scientist at Intersonics, Inc. Shankar holds a Ph.D in Materials Science & Engineering from Rice University and a B-Tech in Materials Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
