Yongdong Liu

Yongdong Liu currently serves as a Technical Director at KLA since June 2022 and holds the position of Sr. Director at Onto Innovation from July 2018. Prior to these roles, Yongdong Liu developed extensive experience at Nanometrics, progressing from Sr Applications Scientist to Director of Applications over nearly a decade, from June 2009 to June 2018. Earlier career stages included a Staff Engineer position at Seagate Technology from March 2008 to May 2009 and various roles at Nanometrics, beginning in February 2005. Yongdong Liu earned a Ph.D. in Optics from Tsinghua University between 1995 and 1999 and also attended the University of Utah.
