Jurga Petraitė currently serves as Communication Projects Manager at WESTERN SHIPYARD GROUP since January 2024 and has held the position of Public Relations Manager at Klaipeda Science and Technology Park since October 2016. Prior to these roles, Jurga worked as Public Relations Manager at UAB "V.R.A." from January 2014 to October 2016 and started a career in journalism at UAB Diena Media News, where responsibilities included various journalistic functions from March 2004 to January 2010. Klaipeda Science and Technology Park
Challenges of the global economy and scopes of innovation culture development enhanced science and business collaboration in the Klaipeda Region and necessitated foundation of the Science and Technology Park. The KSTP was founded on September 6, 2002 in cooperation of Klaipeda University and the Ministry of Economy of The Republic of Lithuania. The first reconstructed building of KSTP was officially opened on January 16, 2004, and the second stage of reconstruction was finished on July 7, 2005. The Park was founded in the former premises of the Russian army division with tank sheds and a swimming pool for Soviet army soldiers. The objective of the KSTP is to gather under one roof enthusiasts of successful development from Klaipeda city and all western Lithuania, progressive thinking students full of innovative ideas, post-graduates, entrepreneurs who aim to be the creators of the future of the region, who generate ideas and seek to implement them into businesses; to enhance collaboration between science, industry and other fields of economy as well as development of high technologies, to sustain and develop the scientific potential. The KSTP is the center of innovation culture and entrepreneurship enhancement in the Klaipeda Region.
