David is a founding partner at KlarisIP. He advises sales and revenue operations for the company.

David is well known as a Founder of the field of Digital Asset Management (DAM) and a consistent innovator in defining – and redefining DAM and its relationship to business strategy, rights, valuation and growth. David has worked extensively with clients throughout the United States and Europe in creating value from their digital assets – and setting in place the organizational and strategic processes to achieve success with this. David is serving in his ninth year as Global Chair of the Henry Stewart Conferences on the Art & Practice of Managing Digital Media. He’s a leader in setting the ever-changing context for DAM – as in today’s vital connection to rights, risk mitigation, international issues, smart content, and growing enterprise adoption.

His particular focus in broadcast, licensing, and distribution operations sector is reflected in extensive work with Discovery, A+E, Sesame Workshop, The PBS NewsHour, Fox, National Geographic, Viacom, Disney, HBO, Corus, WBGH Boston, WNET Channel Thirteen NYC, Channel Four (UK), Comcast / NBC Universal, DIRECTV and others. This work is complimented by other private sector experience with General Motors, Hasbro, Herman Miller, Genzyme, Garmin, Random House, The New York Times, Thomson Reuters, Chronicle Books, HarperCollins, and dozens more help to create and inform the value of DAM and the related rights and creative issues in any setting. David’s public sector work includes The National Gallery of Art, The Getty, The United States Institute for Peace (PeaceTech Lab), The United States Naval Institute, the American Society for Curriculum Development (ASCD), The National Board of Medical Examiners, USOC / USA Swimming and many others.
