Esref Ozturk

Esref Ozturk has a diverse work experience in various roles. Esref started their career as a Software Engineering Intern at Kovan Research Lab. METU in 2013. Esref then interned at Hazelcast as a Software Engineering Intern, where they developed sample integration modules. In 2014, they worked as a Software Developer at TUBITAK, where they developed a kernel module for Debian based systems. Simultaneously, they worked as a Software Developer at Labris Networks. Esref also had the opportunity to intern as a Pwner at 0xdeffbeef, where they gained experience in hacking and security. In 2016, they worked as a Software Engineer at STM, where they conducted R&D on automated hardening platforms for various systems. Esref then joined Udemy as a Software Engineer, and later co-founded Drive Buddy, serving as the Co-Founder and Chief Officer. In 2018, they joined Toptal as a Lead Software Engineer, and currently, they are working as a Senior Engineer at Klarna.

Esref Ozturk completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi (Middle East Technical University) in 2016. Esref then pursued further education at the same university and obtained a Master of Science degree in Computer Engineering. Along with their academic qualifications, Esref also obtained certifications in their field. In 2014, they achieved the MCNA - Network (Fast) certification from Middle East Technical University's Continuous Education Center. Later in 2017, they received the Google Developer Challenge Scholarship from Udacity.
